Short notice wedding gift.
My cousin told me on Friday she is getting married today (Monday) her and her fiancee have 2 kids and one on the way and wanted to make it "official". I used to work in a florist so I made her bouquet for the ceremony today at the justice of peace and for Saturday when we're all getting together to celebrate I'm making her wedding cake.
I'm not sure what to do as a gift though. I was thinking going traditional and giving them money, but since they are doing this short notice I thought maybe get them some of the things you wouldnt get at a last minute wedding like champagne glasses, cake topper, cake knife...along those lines. Or I was thinking a gift certificate to a nice restaurant with the promise to babysit since there's not going to be a honeymoon. My mom (her Godmother) chipped in on a dress for her with her mom.
I just want to do something special for them even though they are doing something very low key. Any thoughts?

Did she register anywhere? If not I would just give money. I dont know their money situation but 2 kids plus one on the way= so they could probably use the money. JMO

Hmmm... I'm not sure how much you were looking to spend, but how about a weekend away since they're not going on a honeymoon... maybe a couple of nights at a bed and breakfast in a cabin upstate somewhere... like a little mini-moon....if you didn't mind watching their kiddies while they're away... If it were me, i'd love something like that!!

sounds like you're very generous, already.
if i were in her shoes, i would love cash money or the night out and you watching the kids.
sounds like a loving family is coming together to make this a lovely event for her.
