shopping for area rugs.....
we need a rug to put under our new bed.....any suggestions on places to look for a modern area rug for a reasonable price????

Believe it or not.. My dh and i just bought an 8x10 area rug for $250 at BIG n Cheap in Baldwin.
BIG N Cheap is the old National Wholesale liquidators.
We were searching everywhere for an area rug and we found it there last week.
They have a large selection.

There is a furniture place in Syosset on Jericho Turnpike across from Home Goods that has really cheap rugs, we got one for our bedroom there. Also target has great rugs and I think its free shipping over 50 dollars, but Im not sure.

I actually posted this same topic the other day since I was tearing out my hair looking for area rugs!!!
I went over to Kohls bc I saw some online that were eh and I liked them better in person! They are actually having a sale 50% off area rugs until 8/19 i believe. I am headed back there tonight so DH can help carry them.

We have a King sized bed and wanted a rug too but just something that would come out a little bit, to go between the wood floor and the legs of the bed.
I searched high and low - Home Decorators, Macys, etc. And I wound up buying, from all places, at Lowes.
I wanted to see it and touch it, to see the quality. I think mine was about $200.
For something that's more utilitarian than decorative, it's fine for me.

AWESOME i miss national liq. we got our area rugs for the apartment there and was soo annoyed they are gone when we need them so badly. I hope they reopen or open as Big n cheap in West Babylon. Going to have to drive out to baldwin!

5X8 was the biggest one they had and I need one a little bit bigger for the bedroom. Ended up getting a 5X8 one for the living room for 99.99 on sale.
