When Shopping for an area rug?
Sorry but, I am clueless on this one!
Do you measure for it to fit right under the coffee table and an inch or 2 away from the sofa? or do you measure it so it goes under the sofa as well

from what I have always heard on the HGTV shows, they say that you anchor your rug with your sofa's. So each sofa or chair should be just a little on the rug. Hope that helps.
