Sesame Place/Dutch wonderland -- Questions re: infants

Some friends (from different states) and I were talking about meeting up with our families this summer and Sesame Place was mentioned as a good middle ground. They all have children 1+ years old but my DS will only be 4-5 months when we go -- is there anything that he can do there? parades? shows? carosel ride? I can't get any specific info online but it says that "smaller" children will like big bird's nest -- what is that? Thanks!

updated --- iwould dutch wonderland be better??

For a 4-5 month old, I don't think there are many, if any rides he can do.

The nest is really for kids who are walking. It's like a trampoline and the kids run all over the place.

I suppose you could do the carousel if you sat on the stationary bench with him.

There are a couple of wading pools you could walk through with him.

How is he with characters? You can have pics taken with them. And there's the parade and about 3 or 4 shows.

Probably not, there isn't much to do for that age there either. Most of the stuff they need to be able to sit up to actually go on.

But I would just go to hang out with your friends and watch the shows, etc. Your child is free, and I'm sure you'll have fun

I don't remember big birds nest but I think they mean older kids. There isn't much an infant can do at either. If you want to hang out with your friends I would chose sesame place. There are a few shows and it's cute to take pictures with the characters. It's closer too.

We brought my DD (2) & DS 3 months at the time to DW & he was able to go on the boats w/ us & a number of rides like the train/carousel if we held him. It's a nice park & very much geared towards children under 5.

at 4-5 months old the only thing i see you doing is rides that allow hand held infants. Like a train ride or something.

Went to Sesame last year with my DD and some friends. DD was almost 2 and my friends son was about 1 1/2. Honestly, we hated Sesame. It was small and dirty and it's mostly water attractions. Not much for the little ones to do. The parades and shows were lame too. I really was VERY disappointed in Sesame, I would have no interest in ever going back.

This year we're doing Dutch Wonderland and Hershey. Everyone I've spoken to goes on and on about how great DW is so I am looking forward to it.
