I am not sure what it means.

A kid that never moves, read by himself already, knows how to feed himself/herself, is potty trained, is quiet at will and know how to entertain himself/herself? Chat Icon

Re: Seriously, is there such a thing as....

Don't get me wrong - he is a good boy, but into everything, he wants everything, screams and cries if he can't have it (um - hello - kitchen knives? Lighters? cameras? Ipod? My stepdaughter's violin?)

And he is climbing climbing climbing.... barely making it up the couch, falling backwards as a result... Trying to climb the kitchen counter for his favorite snacks, refusing to eat regular food when those damn yogurt melts are in view (sent from s@tan himself, I am now convinced!!!! Chat Icon )

Seriously - I can't see him getting any calmer in the next year or so - I mean - don't they get worse when they are 2??? Chat Icon

Cailen is a very, VERY happy little guy and so easy going to - but he just wants to explore everything, which is so awesome, but man oh man - if he can't get his grubby little hands on something that peaks his interest.....Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think that's what a toddler is. A little monkey! Mine is metamorphosing into one.

I have to agree...he is so well-behaved, gentle and sweet. If he isn't the perfect toddler than he is darn near close!

Yes, but you have to wait until DC are adults, and have kids. When you're a grandparent, as soon as the kids start acting up, you just hand them back... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Plus, toddlers are much easier when you can spoil them rotten... Chat Icon Chat Icon

He's at the age of self awareness/no fear/it's all about him.

At 3 it gets a little worse, but 4 is a really great age.

I remember when Chelsea was 4 and she was a dream. She was a pretty easy baby in all but that 3rd year, yowza!

At this age they are figuring out that there's more to the world than just mom and dad. There's all this great stuff to get into and the Big people's reactions are worth the price of admission.
Have fun!Chat Icon

I have to agree!!! Three was tough!!!

As we are approaching 4, life is getting a little easier.

I totally agree. My pediatrician LOVED when I said that Cailen is a sprited little toddler (I can thank Beth for introducing me to that term! Chat Icon )

I completely believe that the most amazing people on the planet were the most difficult kids. Cailen is just so eager to be a part of his world. I knew that when he was a newborn and infant and he never wanted to sleep.

But man oh man, there are some days when I want to just Chat Icon when he is fascinated with dropping every toy of his behind the couch or bed to watch it disappear. It is such a production to get them out!!!Chat Icon
