septic/plumbing issue question
We may have a septic issue going on. Anytime we use any water in the house, it comes up and overflows through the downstairs toilet. Nothing drains past that point. Even the soapy water from the washing machine drained back into that toilet. The plumber won't be here til tomorrow. I'm clueless when it comes to these things. If it is septic related, is it dangerous for us to leave it until tomorrow? Will methane fumes come back into the house?

We had this happen a few weeks ago. I don't have septic we're on the sewers. We had to wait about 20 hours for them to come. We're all still alive.
Our "collection" point was the washing machine. I just kept the door closed.
