Sending lunch to school
DD started pre-k this week. The school provides lunch, but the menu is all carbs (mac &cheese, buttered bagel, baked ziti, cheese sandwich, pizza). Thankfully, she has already asked that we give her lunch to bring to school. I have some ideas, but would really love to hear some suggestions.
*Nuts and seeds are off the table due to children in her class with allergies.

Lol...i'd help you out but all the lunches I pack DD are carbs. She only eats carbs! What you listed is pretty much her entire diet

Ughh same here!
When I feel like wasting food I pack my ds some of these:
Shredded rotisserie chicken or diced chicken and whatever veggie I made the night before or I cook up (microwave/boil) frozen peas that morning (they are sweet enough that he'll eat them without any seasoning)
Cold cuts rolled up with cheese Chicken or ground beef quesdilla Chicken cutlet with a dipping sauce Peanut butter and jelly "sushi rolls" Yogart and cheesestick Meatballs
