Second wedding HELP!!!!!
We have a backyard wedding reception to go to on Saturday. It is a second marriage for both and we don't know what a suitable gift would be. Any ideas and if it is to give $$ how much? These are neighbors of ours we don't really hang out with them but we are friendly.

Re: Second wedding HELP!!!!!
For a backyard wedding I would give a gift rather than money in the 100-150 range

Re: Second wedding HELP!!!!!
Most people gave us $ for our 2nd wedding (we had both been married to other people before).
I would say $100-$150 if they are just neighbors, not too close to you.
We got anywhere from $100 (from my brother, and wife and kid!!) to $500 (Dh's sister & family of 4).
You can also give a gift card if $ is uncomfortable for you -- Home Depot is a great place to get GCs for. Or anywhere you know they shop.
ETA - If it is a 2nd wedding they probably don't need any gifts, unless you know they registered somewhere. Otherwise I wouls stay away from gifts - their house is probably a mix of 2 housholds and they have most everything they need at this point.

Re: Second wedding HELP!!!!!
I'd give $$$$ or a Home Depot gift card.
Our wedding was DH's 2nd and we combined two households... we had double of a lot of things while needing others... mostly big ticket items. I'd just give money... it will definitely be put to good use.

I would give a gift card or money, and I don't think it should matter that it's a second marriage. It is still just as important, or more so, to them than their first marriages. I would base the amount more on your relationship with them.
Or, you could get them a gift certificate to a really expensive, fancy restaurant so they can treat themselves, and present it to them maybe with a bottle of nice champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
