scuba divers I have a question
Do you dive with your own personal mouthpieces or do you use the rental ones? dh and i are discussing going for a one day dive in the Keys (a resort course not certification) and being the germphobe i am, have trepidation about the rental mouthpiece
TIA

Re: scuba divers I have a question
I am a bit picky in this area. I say take your own. Besides, they are cheap!! You can get two for under 10 at most dive shops.
Remember to keep breathing and never beat your bubbles to the surface!!
Cheers!!

Re: scuba divers I have a question
Having your own stuff, at least the basic stuff is so much nicer.
On another note - Sandals & Beaches Resorts just went from 2 tanks per day included to 3 or 4 tanks - if your RNT & SI allows for it.
That's decent! I think they are trying to capture some of the live a board business!

Re: scuba divers I have a question
When I travel with my dad, I bring my own reg. (he still hold onto and services my equipment). I don't dive with a snorkel (I know, I know ) so I don't have to worry about that! When I am traveling with DH, I will rent a reg. I always travel with my own mask and fins though....
I love how many divers on here!
ETA: I am not really a germiphobe so renting a reg doesn't bother me in that way. I prefer my own because I like to set up my own equipment and I know where everything is.
