scary stuff- update at end

It is scary! I live in a safe community and everyone knows each other. Many people have lived here a long time. My mom was walking my kids last week and she saw someone enter the community and was following her on their bike. She went quickly back to my house and literally lifted the stroller with both kids into my house and locked the door. I haven't heard of break ins or theft in my development but you never know! We have a panic mode on my alarm system I pray it's never used!

I had someone in a pick up truck try to follow me home from a fairly crowded park, or at least I assume that's where they followed me from.
DD fell asleep in the car on the way home and I wanted her to nap so I just so decided to drive around and let her sleep instead of going home. I noticed the truck behind me make the same turn as me, which only caught my attention because I had turned off of a main road and was annoyed that now I couldn't just drive around slowly and look at houses.

As soon as I had the chance, I turned into a development so I could lose the truck behind me and just poke along slowly but then they also turned in. So I made another turn, as did they. I got a little creeped out but figured they probably just lived there. I sped up and lost them, then after a few more turns, wound up back at the entrance. And there was the truck again, sitting on the side of the road. Now I'm really feeling strange about it. I made the turn out and then after a pause, they did too.

Just too strange to be a coincidence. I made it as quickly as I could to a more populated area and was able to lose the truck behind some cars. I drove way out of my way until I was sure there was no way they were still following me before I went home. It doesn't sound as bad when I retell it but have never been more creeped out.

So scary. You did the right thing telling other people and getting escorted to your car.

Last year I was shopping at tanger in Riverhead with my daughter one morning during the week and hardly anyone was out there. I was in the bathroom that is located on the side of the building and I see some man's sneakers come in. I grabbed my daughter off the toilet pulled up her pants and ran. I think I scared him with how fast I flung the door opened and ran out. Maybe it was innocent and I'm not sure what he was doing in there but I wasn't taking any chances. With the new laws I don't think there is much anyone can do with having a male enter a female bathroom or vice versa but Being alone with my little one my instincts kicked in and they said get the f out of there.
