scary morning...on best rest now!
hi girls . i woke up this morning bleeding. red and brown. i am 14 weeks.
i was told i have placenta previa in the past that could cause spotting...but this was much heavier. so i ran to my specialist ( i see one bc i had ivf) and thank god the baby is good but apparently bc of the previa i have a blood clot that is breaking up and causing the bleeding.
they want me on bed rest for the next week until my appointment on thursday.
i will do whatever i need to for the baby but i am a hairstylist and if i dont work i dont get paid...and they said if i had a desk job it would be okay but bc i am on my feet all day ...i have to rest.
soooo after alot of tears and panic i guess i have to watch ALOT of bad tv this week.
anyone have this or something like it? yikes! ty v much xoxoxo

Glad baby and you are ok. Take it easy. Are you on lovenox? Placenta previa is common in early pregnancy from what my doctor told me. If you are on lovenox can a clot still form?

. Yes I am on lovenox. Still confused but the clot is part of the placenta that is trying to move away from the cervix? Hard for me to understand. Ty everyone

That is scary stuff! And no pay for a week really stinks...I've been there, I babysit so I only get paid for days that I work. it really stinks big time!
But you have to do what is best for you and that baby of yours!

Yes I had a previa that bleed badly at like 16 weeks, VERY scary. Was on bed rest for about a week, it resolved itself and eventually moved off to the side. I had to stop the baby asprin then but stayed on the Lovenox. Bed rest is hard, emotinally and financially! But as you know, we do what we need to do. Try not to stress over it. Send DH out for a few exrtra jobs!

never had previa but i was on hospital bed rest at the end of my pregnancy. it sucks but you do what you have to do to have a healthy baby... and i promise you hospital TV is even worse than whatever you will be watching!
at least the baby is doing well

Heres my advice put your butt in bed and don't move till the Dr. says so. I understand the financial stress being I 2 am 14 weeks and have been out of work since 8wks when my boss found out I was preg and let me go. I totally understand but you have come to far. If the Dr. says with bed rest you will be fine then stay there as long as they say. Keep your chin up .

I had bright red bleeding at 14w too. It happened after exercising, and I was in California, thousands of miles away from home and from my OB. I was scared as heck, but everything turned out fine. The bleeding tapered off and was gone by the next day, and I didn't bleed again until after my water broke.
