Scared...low progesterone

I had a loss in October at 15 weeks due to a chromosonal abnormality. It was devastating.
I just got my BFP a little over a week ago.I am only about four weeks pregnant and my Dr. has been sending me for beta draws. I have had three so far and my numbers keep doubling!
BUT.....they checked my progesterone on the first draw and it was on the low side and now it has dropped a little lower and the Dr. wants me to start taking progesterone.
Does anyone have any experience with low progesterone or supplements? I am scared this indicates another loss. I am so scared. I am trying to focus on God though because I know he is faithful.
Any thoughts/advice/prayers are appreciated.

My first pregnancy, I had the same problem. My OB had me doing suppositories every other day for my entire first trimester. And everything turned out fine. Since your beta #'s are increasing...its a good sign.

Also another good thing was that I had sonos about every other week to see the baby since they cant monitor you through bloodwork

I have been on oral supplements for a week. My # was only 5 and my Dr said you need to be above a 15 for it to not cause a miscarriage. I don't know what my #s are now, I will find out on Friday.

I took prometrium early on for low progesterone. My number is 13 at one point and I was spotting and was terrified! The pills worked and I was able to stop taking them at one point. I'm now 20 weeks.

I would say to be thankful you're on the progesterone supplement and have faith! God bless!!!

I am taking Crinone every night... its really not bad at all...

I am also using Crinone every night until 12 weeks because my progesterone was around 9. With my first pregnancy (DS) my progesterone was at 8 and I went on the Crinone until 12 weeks and all was fine. He is happy and healthy. It really isn't a big deal. It is just annoying and rather gross. Good luck.

crinone really isnt that bad compared to suppositories and PIO shots. its really the most tolerable way to take progesterone IMO. its good that you found out yours was low early enough to treat it. its very common!!

i took progesterone pills till my mid 20 weeks. i was always very low.

please do not be scared. this is really manageable. like other girls said, get crinone. literally no side effects, except for some leaking. GL!

I took prometrium until 12 weeks and had no side effects at all. My progesterone went down to 12.1 and they put me on it. Two days later it was 24. Good luck!!
