Scared to fly...
I am leaving for Florida on Friday! I am SO excited, but at the same time I am so nervous to fly!!! Any words of advice to calm me down? Thanks!

No, it's not my first time...I've flown before. I am terrified of heights and just don't like being up there...also I think of crashing, which I know is silly.

I am the same in my way of thinking- I have only flown twice- to our hm and back.
all I can say is xanax and a nice big tgifridays super size SPECIALTY DRINK . . .

have a few drinks that'll calm you or if you're not a drinker then they have those pills call dramine that knocks you out durinmg your flight

I am petrified of flying and yet I do it all the time. I just try to remind myself that it is safer than driving and that I'm taking more of a risk driving on the LIE. I also try to think of all the flights that have taken off and landed safely today alone and then imagine how many that is in a week, a month etc. Chances are very good that I will be just fine.

Bach flower was recommended on here by a couple of people. You can find it in a vitamin shop/herbal shoppe. I haven't taken it but it's been pretty popular on these boards. Can't hurt!

It is called "Rescue Remedy" by Bach. It is a bunch of flower essences in an oil form. You put a couple of drops into a water bottle and drink it on the plane. You can also put three drops under your tongue when you are on your way to the airport. I used it when we flew to Hawaii in January because I was preggo and could not take ANYTHING. It really helped. Have fun in Florida.
