It's a family festival with games, rides and lots of food you shouldn't eat (FRIED TWINKIES!). The heart is at Gilette Park (On Gillette, just south of Main before Middle).

I worked on Main street for 10 yrs and HATED the summerfest. I have not gone since I stopped working in town. Once you work it, you never want to go.

Where did you work?
I LOVE Summerfest. I loved it before I even lived in Sayville. Now I love it more because I can walk there.

I worked at Poor Baby, way way back in the day. We would have a booth in Gillete park and aside fromt he funnel cake and the Hot "bronco boy" it stunk. It was always the longest weekend for us. So Im bitter.

Where are you coming from? If you take Lakeland south it will turn into RR ave you will pass over the tracks and then if you take it down even furtur you will hit main street. It is there.

Yes ma'am. Take Lakeland heading south, pass over Vets, pass over Sunrise and then you will come to this bizzare intersection, just keep heading straight... parking is going to be a mess, but good luck and have fun!!!

I think up in Ronkonkoma it is Ocean Ave - if you take that South (towards Sunrise) it turns into Lakeland Ave, continue going under Sunrise Hwy Lakeland turns into Railroad Ave - still going south - you will hit Main St (Montauk Hwy) at that point you will be at the Summerfest
