I ran out of baby questions...SO How did you and your husband meet?

I met DH through work! He worked for one of my broker firms, and the girl in my office that handled his account was getting married. I took over the account for a week and we would talk online all day long. At the end of the week he came to the office to drop a file off and as soon as he got back to his office - he asked me out!!

right before my high school prom i broke up with my BF and needed a date. i took this guy who was in our extended group of friends, but was a year older and already in college.

turns out we were going to the same college and ended up in the same dorm. i visited his room a lot, and my now-DH was randomly his roomate. the whole first semester i would go there to hang out and one day he was watching a vhs of family guy, and i remember thinking he was cool cause i liked family guy too .

during xmas break my cousin and i went to florida and i had my laptop. randomly i get an IM from him asking if i was the friend of his roomates. we talked for hours and turned out we didnt live too far from each other at home. we made plans that when i got home from florida, before we went back to school, we would go out to utopia to buy CD's.

we did, and later this month is 10 years since that first date!

(Ps- thanks for posting this question - i was really moody and mean to DH today and he was really sweet about it all - posting this story reminds me to be nicer to him even when im being crazy hormonal )

Our families knew each other even before we were born. Our parents would bbq together and hang out all the time...I am also best friends with his first girl cousins...Sept 2006 my family was invited to his sisters babies christening and his mom kept pushing him to dance with me lol...we danced for 2 mins and that was it...when I got home that night i got a message on my myspace and the rest is history.

It was never akward because he was never at any of his cousins events so I barebly knew him, I just knew things here and there from his cousins...The best part is there was no akwardness when meeting the families because they already knew each other.

DH & I met through his cousin. She was a nurse at a Dr's office and I was their Pharmaceutical Rep. She wanted to set me up with someone and set us up on a blind date! ! 1 yr after that we got engaged! Now we have been together for 4yrs total

My dad and his mom grew up in the same projects "The Pink Houses" on the Brooklyn/Queens border. They both came from large families and all the kids played and hung out and styaed in touch even after moving. So we always were at "family" BBQ's and such together. Then his mom passed away when he was 14 and he stopped coming around.

About 4 years later my aunt passed and he came to the wake. I had always stayed in touch with his older sister and she said he was coming and "hint hint wink wink" that he was single. As soon as he walked in my mom looked at me and said "He looks like an angel, you're going to marry him someday". We hardly spoke that day but I gave his sister my number and told her to tell him to call me if he wanted.

Like a week went by and nothing. Then one night I was out with my friends and decided to go home early (quite odd for a 16 year old who alwys came in at EXACTLY curfew time) I was in the door no more than 5 min and he called. We talked on the phone for HOURS that night. I had never felt so comfortable talking to anyone in my life. We made plans to go on our first date a week later. We went to Adventureland in Farmingdale and had so much fun. We he dropped me off at home I felt like I was walking on clouds as I walked up my driveway.

A year and a half later he moved in with my parents and I (his father is not the best guy in the world so my parents were more than happy to take him in). 5 years later we got engaged, then 2 years after that we were married. Now here we are after 85 days of marriage! I know it probably sounds silly but I always felt that his mom and my aunt had something to do with us being together.

The morning I met DH I had woken up from a dream that I had met someone on there. (I already had a profille) I woke up that morning inspired and saw DH's profile. After our first date I thought he was someone special... and by the second date, I KNEW he was someone special!

This spring will be our two year wedding anniversary!

When I was 17 My friend Lauryn brought me along to hang out with Joe a guy that she met at her job, He brought his friend Eric(my DH). We went to a bar and hung out all night & we all slept over Eric's house we became friends and I would sleep over every so often but nothing ever happened until one day when Eric asked me to go to splish splash and spent the weekend with him and I never went home... The rest is history..

We had mutual friends...my maid of honor has been my best friend for 12 years and knew his ex-girlfriend. He kept bugging me online and I'd never met him and she kept gushing about him. I couldn't believe she had such a high regard for a friend's ex! I don't like many of my friends exes. We used to talk online all the time but I wasn't looking to date so I kept blowing him off. One night I was out with her and some other friends for a birthday celebration and she had a friend who kept coming on to me. I joked in the bathroom that I should call someone to be my date and she joked that I should call Dan. I was drunk and I texted him and he said he was busy that night but could we get coffee the next morning, which turned into a 16 hour date. Other than business trips I've never left his side since

He sat behind me in a business class at college, I kept making it a point to turn around and talk the the kid next to him then he slowly started to join in the convo's. After about 2 weeks of that i took his notebook when he wasnt looking opened it to a random page and wrote my number on it (yes i picked him up haha) he saw me put it back on his desk n just smiled. About a hour later my cellphone rang and it was him. :)

We went to high school together. We were in the same graduating class and ended up in the same circle of friends. We started hanging out at the end of 10th grade and then became a couple in the beginning of 11th and we've been together ever since. 18 years and married for 11 of them!! (............and we still have the same group of friends from high school!! )

This is fun.. I had met who I thought I was going to marry on Jdate.. we had broken up in June. That summer my very good high school friend met her now husband on Jdate they actually lived across the street from each other. My friend had met my DH who was her boyfriends law school friend and was convincing me all summer to get out of my summer stuper and hang out with her new guy and his friends. The last day of summer I agreed... it turns out we went to the same sleep away camp as kids for years, and although we don't really remember each other we knew this meant something! We moved in together that spring and got married last may! The friends that introduced us are also now married!

We met working at summer camp together when I was 16 and he was 18! Dated for 10 years and have been married for 2!

Of all places-at a bar in Times Square!

My best friend works with one of his best friends....and they were having a company get together on a monday night.

It was never a set up-we each met up with our friends very randomly that night.

We met the good ol' fashioned way......on match.com
I never thought I'd meet my husband that way....I just wanted to go out to dinner, lol. What I mean is that I just wanted to date.
After meeting lots of people I had zero chemistry with, I was about to throw in the towel when DH contacted me.

Later on we found we had several mutual connections, so I think it was fated!
