San Francisco/Napa
Can anyone point me in the right direction for starting to plan a trip. Probably just 3-4 nights for me and DH. Where to stay, what to do/see, places to eat.
Thanks!

I love SF and Napa!
We did the go car tour the last time we were there. It was a lot of fun. You get to drive around in an electric car and you're guided by a map. You can see all the major sights of SF like Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, etc.
Palace of Fine Arts is really pretty. I also enjoyed the Exploratorium there.
Napa Valley is very pretty and romantic. We ate at Auberge du Soleil for DH's birthday - super romantic with a fabulous view. If you can, I'd highly recommend trying to get reservations at French Laundry. My favorite vineyard was Sterling. They had a tram that took you to the top where you had a spectacular view overseeing the vineyards.
Have fun!

Re: San Francisco/Napa
I second Sterling Vineyards and also Domaine Chandon is great for sparkling wine. If you can't get into French Laundry (we couldn't) try Bouchon.
We stayed in Calistoga, which is a little far from the vineyards but we had a gorgeous cabin and could walk to the bars/restaurants in town.
You'll need to rent a car. We rented a convertible and went straight to Napa from the SF airport, stayed 2 nights and then did only one night in SF before doing the rest of the coast. We stopped at the redwood forest on the way back to SF which was cool to see for us east coasters.

We went there 2 years ago. It was a great trip.
Here's my review: SanFran/Napa/Yosemite
We rented a car and drove all around. We just turned on the GPS and hit the road. It was a lot of fun!

We lovedddd Napa! We stayed at an awesome bed & breakfast. I highly recommend it! It's called Arbor Guest House. It is sooooo clean and the owners make the bestttt breakfast..i didn't even have room for lunch or dinner most of the days b/c of the amount of food! It is a three course breakfast.
You need to rent a car and then the inn keepers really point you in the right direction as to where to go for wine tasting, restaurants, etc. I recommend going to Trip Advisor.
We also drove to San Francisco for a day...that was a reallyyy nice day trip!
You are going to loveee it!!!! I'm soooo jealous!

That B&B looks so nice but no rooms with king beds...ack! I don't think I could do a queen.
