salami?
i am dying for a salami and american cheese sandwich, but i am not sure if salami is ok to eat - i know deli meats usually aren't but salami is cured. anyone know?

Really stupid question, but what does "cured" mean?
And thank you for deciding my lunch for me today!!! This is great! Salami & American cheese with mustard on Semolina bread!!

um, no idea what cured actually means, jsut know that it means it's "cooked" a different way, like salted or smoked.

My doc actually said the opposite. He said NO cured meats b/c they are not "cooked." I can however, have deli ham as it's boiled. Anycold cut that is cooked I can have. That being said, I've had a few salami pieces here and there. I had a different doc when I had my son and they never mentioned not eating cured meats and I did and my son turned out fine
