Anyone have any stories/experiences to share about SafTSwim? Did your child enjoy it? Thinking of signing up for the Mommy & Me class with my 9 month old and would love to hear any rants or raves. Thanks!

This past summer we did a session of Cuddles & strokes swim lessons that was a kind of mommy & me class. DD really liked it and it was a nice time for us both in the pool. She really learned to like the water and have fun.
I would like to do the next step up this summer again, it's an expansion of the cuddles & strokes that gets the babies to get used to being underwater. After that it's mostly individual lessons until they get older.

we did Mommy & me 1 & 2 and I wish they had more that we could take. We had the best time and ds really learned quite a bit by the end of both classes

Re: SafTSwim
DD is almost 8 months and we just finished a 7 week session. We LOVED it! I took her because she hated the water, would scream every time we gave her a bath. I wanted her to get more accustomed to the water and it worked. She loved it and so did I. She now goes under the water without even crying. I would continue but it's just too far to drive. We went to the Westbury location. If you go there, heads up... Give plenty of extra time to find parking. It's in a commercial area so a lot of businesses use street parking and they only have a tiny parking lot that can only fit like 3 cars.

Re: SafTSwim
Had our first mommy and me class last week.
DD is 7 months.
She was eh about it. Mostly b/c the instructor used her to demonstrate "this is the way we wash our hair" by taking her and sprinkling water over her head and her face. DD was like "WTF is this strange woman DOING to me, ma?!?!?!?!" So it pretty much killed her mood for the rest of the class.
I imagine next class will be a lot better.

Re: SafTSwim
Both of my kids take classes, but with instructors. They started at a little over 2.5 and 9 months old. At first DS hated it, but now he is jumping in the deep end and doesn't want to get out of the pool.
