sad
So my DH wants to wait to ttc until next year. I of course have been ready for a looooooong time and wish it would just happen. I haven't come off of BCP yet, I of course am hopeful something would happen. Tonight I go to the gyn for my annual exam and tell the dr that I have been having abdominal pain at night for the past few days and cannot lay on my stomach because of discomfort. She says we will do a pregnancy test. I got all excited to find out it was negative
I know I shouldn't of expected anything, but I am so ready to be a mommy

Re: sad
Any particular reason why he wants to wait until next year? Have you expressed to him how you feel and how you are ready to be a mommy? Im sorry you're going through this. Must be extremely hard to be on two different pages..

Re: sad
This is going to sound crazy, but he wants to wait until we put a new roof on the house. He feels that he just wants to be financially in a good place. My thinking who is ever really is a financially good place. When I came home to tell him what the doctor said he seemed relieved, but new how disappointed I was. I think at this point he would be happy if it happened, but does not want to actively TTC.

Re: sad
Wow, that hurts. I know he doesnt want to start until next year but to seen relived from getting a negative test sounds really harsh. Im sorry The funny thing is that one, you're right, you'll never be financially ready to have a baby. Honestly, waiting until a roof is put on your house sounds silly to me. I dont understand how that would be a good reason to not want to TTC. Secondly, what he has to understand is that TTC is a work in process. Im going on (I think) month 8 of TTC and thats including a miscarriage. Im young, only 28 with regular menstrual cycles and no known issues and its almost been a year. Unless you're one of the really fortunate ones TTC can take a while, so why wait. However, it seems like theres a little more to this story. It doesnt sound to me like hes that eager to have a baby...I could be wrong though.
