S/O to announcements: what are you doing?
What are you doing about baby announcements? Will you use standard ones that you can order from a stationery store or are you creating one through a photo website?
If you're creating one, do you need photoshop or are there designs that you can use on snapfish, etc?
I love the way everyone's photo announcements turn out and would like to do something similar, but I'm clueless on how to do them.

I don't even know what I'm having so I definitely won't order them until after  is born. My mom, who's way too organized, asked if I wanted to look at announcements in a few months. Her friend runs a stationery business and sells standard ones, but if it isn't too hard, I'd like to do a photo one.

I'll be getting photo ones from online. You don't need a fancy program, just your internet and the pictures uploaded to your computer. You pick out the template from whatever website you like, then just upload the photo and decide on the text.
ETA: Sometimes you just pick the template you like and email them the photo and info and they plug it all in for you.

i never even thought of doing announcements! i might have my sister make them, but to be honest, none of my friends ever did them and i am not 100% sure i will.

although i really do like the ones with pictues, i hate the thought of people throwing them out so i may order regular ones
however, there are designs on snapfish and other websites that are nice and easy

I usually take a pic the first couple of days of the baby then make a photo announcement from walmart..You can do everything online and then pick them up in an hour so..By the time my baby is 4 or 5 days old the cards are sent out..its very convenients

Believe me, I'm not organized, but my mom is ridiculously organized and plans very far ahead. It actually drives me nuts. I'm not a planner at all.
I live about 3 hours away from my family and my mom just wanted to know whether she should make an appointment with her friend to look at announcements when I visit in September or October. I already said no, but I want to make sure that I'll be able to make photo announcements on my own after is born. That's really the extent of what I'm thinking about in terms of announcements. I have enough stress from registering.

I made my own on Paint Shop Pro but you don't need any fancy programs. You can make them on just about any photo website - shutterfly, kodak, snapfish etc.

I think I bought some type of photoshop program a while ago, but I haven't used it.  I'll start to play around with it soon. I may take you up on your offer in December or January. Thank you.

I'm a stationary buff..... LOVE letterpress.... our wedding invitations were letterpress, and I would like the birth announcements to be also.....
I found GREAT ones at Dear Olive, but the owner is going on maternity leave very soon, and won't be returning until the new year... too late for Scone 
I WAS going to get those and put a wallet picture inside.....
now I'm not sure what to order
