Ryan Phillippe Considered Suicide
Hollywood actor Ryan Phillippe contemplated suicide following the breakdown of his six-year marriage to Reese Witherspoon. The Crash star - who has children Ava, seven, and three-year-old Deacon with Witherspoon - suffered a breakdown when the actress filed for divorce in 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.
He says, "After the divorce I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."

honestly, I don't think he was.
yeah, they saw him in a CAR with another girl...a coworker..but he hasn't been with her since. so who knows what really went on there, if anything more than a ride home and a dinner here and there.
Reese, on the other hand, has been with Jake G....her costar in her latest film, basically since all this came about.
and something she said in her interview made me stop and think.
I think Ryan took the rap, but I don't think it's what it appears to be.

I don't believe any of this. Frankly, it sounds more like a ploy for publicity than the truth. Whether he cheated, he broke it off, she broke it off, it is all pointless.

it's a story that went around at the time, that he cheated. that's why i say "if it's true" but i think it goes without saying that since he and reese broke up, his star quality and general public opinion has gone down. he was also seen with a young co-star and was rumored to be dating her....and i think women root for women...we THINK he might have, so now we won't cry the blues for him.

still, NO ONE knows for sure (except maybe Reese and Ryan)
and he has been alone while she's been with Jake since day one...
maybe they both cheated..maybe NO ONE did.
it's convenient that she and Jake hooked up so quickly, no?
I don't know why people vilify the man so much...it's closed minded IMO.
the point is, i'd hate to be seen out with a male friend of mine, and then have it plastered all over the news and have to then "explain" myself to my spouse.
people ARE allowed to be friends with others, are they not?
I'm sorry...I just don't think Ryan would be stupid enough to CHEAT with an AUSTRALIAN actress but taking her OUT (HELLO PAPARRAZZI) to an AUSTRALIAN tennis match.
unless the marriage was over already. and it wasn't made public yet.

Regardless of whoever cheated...if that's even the case. I have a lot of respect for both of them that they don't bad mouth each other. That's how a divorce w/kids should be handled.
Although he did loose a few points for making this suicide consideration public. That's something his kids or anyone else didn't really need to hear/know.

2. A person who habitually spreads intimate or private rumors or facts.
3. Trivial, chatty talk or writing.
NOBODY knows what goes on behind closed doors.
this is why I don't care that Brad "cheated", that Ryan "cheated", or anyone else...unless it's admitted to by the "cheater" or cold hard evidence (don't mind the pun  ) is found, I won't crucify anyone, or martyrize anyone for that matter either.
I'm not on Team Aniston or Team Witherspoon.
I would love to test out Ryan's bat though

Sh!t, if real newspapers like the NY Times can get red-faced by being caught publishing articles without checking their sources, do you think anybody at People magazine is really asking where the source of these 'alleged' stories come from? Let's get real....
ETA: In any event, I could care less who cheated on who. I just hate when people take things as being gospel when nobody even knows if it's true or not. Heck, I'm a Catholic and I don't even take the Gospel as being gospel!
