Ryan for a girl.....
Ok so this is #2 for me, I have a DD & we are team .
I am working on convincing DH to like the name Ryan for a .. My DD's name is Liana, (pronounced Lee-AH-nuh) so I want another name that is not that popular but also is not so different.
So girls, yay or nay, Ryan for a girl?

Re: Ryan for a girl.....
I wanted Ryan for a girl's name but DH shot it down Didn't matter anyway because we are having a boy but still, I absolutely LOVE the name Ryan.
An optional spelling for it is Ryanne (or without the E, just the double N)...do you like that and if so do you think you can sell DH on that?

Re: Ryan for a girl.....
Hate it...sorry...jmo...its such a popular boys name, and just think, when shes in school, when you go to the dr or pharmacy, etc, everyone will assume shes a boy.
My best friend's 1st name was Shannon, and she had a boys 1st name as her last name, and she was put in a boys gym class 3/4 years in highschool.
What if you spell it Ryanne???

I actually just like it simple & the way it is, Ryan.. DH wont care about spelling & he is coming around with it. He was totally not liking it but now that so many people are saying how much they like it, its growing on him. Watch, I will get my way with Ryan for a girl but then have a BOY! ha.

Re: Ryan for a girl.....
I like it for sure.
To me it's an odd match with Liana though because Liana is so girly.
But I do like it.

Im with you on this! Our other name, or my other name I should say is Charlotte. Cute & girly too. Not as hard as Ryan. I could always call her Charlie too... which makes it hard again, not girly! ha

I think charlie goes better with liana than Ryan does. Charlie has a slightly less boyish ring to it than Ryan. And Charlotte is def a girly enough match!!!

Oy don't you hate when that happens!!
you could like or love a name but then it's someone's name that you don't like and it's like UGH!!!
Oh an ex's name or something to that effect.

Thanks! I like old fashioned names, and we agreed on Cecelia Grace right away. We could not agree on a boys name AT ALL...but it turned out that we didn't need one. We were also thinking Sopie/Sophia, but we felt that Cecelia was less popular. Wow, we are close! :)
