Runny nose 2 weeks and counting?
DD went and entire year with out getting sick but since her first birthday she's had croup, followed by a sinus infection. She was doing great for a few weeks and came down with a little cold- no fever- but runny nose. Clear- but it comes and goes. She's happy as a clam but it's sooooo runny. We have a doc appt on thursday (we are switiching peds)
One of my friends said that there is a going around that lasts a month- has anyone else heard this?

Re: Runny nose 2 weeks and counting?
DS is going on a week with a runny nose. Clear like you said, with no other symptoms. I've been checking his temp and the highest its been is 100.1 so I haven't even given him any tylenol. I've been running the humidifier in his room at night with a vicks thing that goes in it. That's helped clear it while he's sleeping, but about 5 minutes after he's out of the room in the morning it starts running again!!

Re: Runny nose 2 weeks and counting?
DS has had a runny nose since September. Between colds, teething and the change in season, his nose is a none stop faucet.

Re: Runny nose 2 weeks and counting?
give it some more time. usually just the time of year etc. i will say that after my DS turned one last year in july he developed a NONSTOP runny nose. it went on and on and on...no joke, for months. it was so bad. dr.s were baffled by it, he had ear infections too, we got tubes put in and adenoids out. still runny. finally had his blood tested for allergies and discovered he was highly allergic to dairy/milk! not saying that's what your DD has at all, but if you see it go on for months and months have everything looked at. i tell everyone that now b/c i was so miserable and so was my DS!

Re: Runny nose 2 weeks and counting?
I was actually surprised DS tested positive for the rhino virus (common cold) on 12/18 and they tested him again, thinking he was fine - no symptoms - and he was positive again yesterday. So 2 weeks

Thanks! Actually we are thinking it could possibly be allergies now.... She's had very watery eyes? No red, but very watery...

teething could be a culprit too. My little guy has had a runny nose for over a week, stinks!!
