I would use saline and aspirate his nose.

Hope he feels better!

Ditto. DD hated it, but it was all we could do.

Hope he feels better soon.

Green boogies can mean an infection. Keep an eye on it and callt he ped if any other symptoms present.

Also, aspirator, baby vicks on the bottom of the feet and saline. If your DC becomes "stuffed" I swear by this home remedy: a bowl of warmed apple cider vinegar with fresh ginger sliced under the baby's crib/bed.

If the boogies get crusty and hard to remove, we use a natural oil around the nostrils (I like Burt's Bees apricot oil.)

Hope your LO feels better soon.

thanks everyone! especially you leslie, you were the greatest help ever!!!Chat Icon

i bought the baby vicks--i didn't know to put it on the feet. i put it on his chest. i also put on a warm air vaporizer (he will NOT be anywhere near it so i'm not worried about him getting hurt--the cold air one just doesn't seem to ever do anything), and used the saline spray.

the boogies are a nice yellow now...no more green!Chat Icon Chat Icon so i'm assuming no infection, but i will keep an eye on it. i just pray that he sleeps well tonight!

And a drop or 2 of eucalyptus oil on baby's PJs helps clear up the congestion.

Hope he feels better soon!! Ale's had a cold for over a week now...

And don't worry - I've only ever heard of one baby who liked having her nose wiped. It's normal for them to hate it - you do it anyway!!
