Running indoors...
Love running outside, but with the weather changing my days are limited...not really a big fan of running outside!
My husband wont let me join the gym, he bought me the Wii Fit instead, which I love, but sometimes I want a bigger work out and like to run!
So my question.. is there anywhere I can run indoors that is free!?!?

Re: Running indoors...
I am an outdoor runner. I DESPISE the cold weather but still run in it. It is amazing some of the tech gear that they sell actually keeps you pretty warm. I look at it as it is only half an hour and after the first five minutes I am warm anyway.
But, why won't your husband let you join the gym?

Re: Running indoors...
I know people walk at the mall before the actual stores open. Not too sure about running, however.

You could probably find an inexpensive used Treadmill on Craigs List

I agree with trying outdoors - after the initial cold, you really do work up a sweat.
SUNY SB and Farmingdale both have indoor tracks

Re: Running indoors...
I run with a running team on the weekend and really finding motivating to get out there on cold days when I know I have people to meet! I ran the entire winter last yr, except when it snowed! My team is all woman and they meet 4-5 times a week but I usually can only make it Saturdays.
Another option is maybe you can pick up a cheap treadmill somewhere. I have seen people selling them on craigs list, etc for under $500. We just got my parents a stationary bike last year for about $500 brand new! Just an option and would be easier and cheaper than going to a gym.
Ok a few more options for you...planet fitness is pretty cheap, like $20/month! Not sure if you can swing it but its an idea. Also I wonder if any schools or colleges have indoor tracks??? ETA - Duh, just saw people recommended the same things!
