running
everyone says how running is such great exercise
my question is where do you run
do you just go out your door and run, do you go to the park
i live in brooklyn and would be stopping/going to a light jog at every corner
for some reason i have always felt funny about running around my neighborhood
so where do you run, i need a little encouragement to just go out and run!

In a nearby neighborhood. It's kind of wooded and there are lots of sidewalks. I love looking at all the brick houses as I go by.

I run in my neighborhood. I used to map them out beforehand on mapmyrun.com, but now I have a pretty good idea how long my set runs are.

I run in my neighborhood and the neighboring neighborhoods (did that make sense?)
I'm also going to join a running club this summer and they have runs at the local hs and some other runs.

Around my neighborhood. I feel safe there and I can go when it's dark out and don't really feel in danger. I also go to our local hs track sometimes. For longer runs I run to other neighborhoods and back again.

I run in my neighborhood and at Caumsett(a state park).
I second mapmyrun.com I have found awesome runs on that sight.

where in bklyn? I used to live in Bay Ridge and would run along Shore Road or along the Belt Parkway. I loved running next to the water.
I also used to live in Bklyn Heights and would run along the promenade or across the Bklyn Bridge.
Is there a high school by you that has a track?

Are you near prospect park in BK? It's a great park for running!
For runs up to 5 miles, I run loops of my neighborhood. Anything more, I go to Bethpage State Park, which has a great running/biking trail.
