Runners: 2011 Schedule?
I noticed a few races for 2011 (still waiting for more). As of now I signed up for the Long Island Half on May 1st and I may or may not sign up for NYC Half on April 2nd.
Anyone else looking at next year's racing schedule yet?

Nashville Marathon  4/30.
I love Nashville, and heard this is a really fun race, so I figured this was as good a place as any to run my first.

I just got the winter series application - so that will be in January.
Summer series June-August
I usually do LI HM in May and Cow Harbor in September.
not sure about a marathon. My coworker asked if I wold run one with her for her 60th bday. She wants somewhere exotic! (at first we thought Marine Corp - but are looking into more "exotic")
The NYC HM is lottery. Last year they had a virtual run for marathon weekend and I was in the first 1000 to upload my run, so I had a guaranteed entry, but I haven't seen anything like that this year. I should have seen if I could have deferred.
plus a variety of other races here and there! (Arrow, Northport VA, T-giving, etc) I never realized that I run 20+ races a year!

You'e talking about the NYC HM in March, right? I know there's one in Flushing Meadows Park (Queens) on April 2nd...but that one doesn't look like its a lottery.

The NYC Half in March is lottery; the one in Flushing is not. Active.com usually has the schedules, as does lirunning.com. Not sure if they're posted yet.

How did you sign up for the LI Half already?
At the Diva Half Marathon in October they gave out the registration forms for the L.I Half. I haven't seen it advertised online yet though.

I haven't started looking at the calendar for next year. I probably won't do many more this year, maybe another one or two in November. Next year I'll do the LI half & the Yonkers half again for sure, a 10K upstate that I do every summer, and the run for autism in Great Neck.... those are the definites... and I like to try out a few different ones every year too in addition to these.... maybe in 2011 I'll finally do a full marathon!

I entered the lottery for the NYC half in March. Other than that, not sure yet. Just need to get through NYC next week, and then I'll start thinking about it!

There is actually a whole series of halves in the 5 boroughs in the fall (leading up to the NYC marathon) if you're interested. I have only done Brooklyn and Queens, but both are pretty nice courses (although Brooklyn is a PITA because it's not a loop). Not sure if I am doing any next year.

Just got my LI Footnotes with a 2011 GLIRC schedule. Thinking of doing the 25k in Camusett Park in March. I've never done anything longer than a HM and I'd like to train for it!
