Re: Runner for Stairs

Thanks Are you thinking of a pattern or solid runner?

I'm going to do this this weekend (runner on stairs and continuing through hallway). I think the guy in Carpet Depot said it would be about $500 but I will updated when I have a better price. It really depends on what kind of carpet you pick.

Re: Runner for Stairs

we went to HD and got a berber carpet made into a runner. it cost us around $300 a few years ago.

You can have any carpet made into a runner...they just bind the edges.

I *think* I want a solid runner because I haven't furnished the living room yet and don't want to lock myself into anything. If I do a pattern, it would be very neutral and subtle.

Paid $1600 for mine from Expo ( out of business) & that was with the 20% off special.
You really can't get an accurate estimate because it all depends on how many steps, any landings, rug you pick, etc.
I also did a great berber to the basement last week & paid $300 installed! I picked a remnant, great way to save $$$
