RUgs in Dining Rooms
I think I need a rug in my dining room-- to add color and to just designate the space. Normally I am not a fan of rugs where you eat, and then of course there is the moving chair thing...
Anyway, what kind of rug works best? I assume something very low pile that chairs can easily be scooted on.

I would also make sure you get one big enough to fit the chairs as they are pulled out.
We have a PB 8X10 rug and it seems to be holding up-we've only had it a few months though.

I would get an area rug with a plush, sheared pile. I would be afraid a looped pile however low, would still get pulled from the chairs. And I agree about it being big enough so that when the chairs are pulled away from the table they are still on the rug.

Alot of the PB rugs work great for DR. I love a rug in the DR for the reasons you listed.
