roundabout vs marathon
we are finally buying a convertible seat for hannah, although at 14 mos and 18 lbs she really can be in the infant carrier still!
which one is better to get? as i mentioned, hannah is 18 lbs and probably 27 inches long-a peanut! if we get the marathon, she could be in it for years to come, but the roundabout is a little bit smaller and might fit better in dh's car.
any suggestions?

Re: roundabout vs marathon
I had the same question when I was buying and if you do a search on this board, you will find tons of posts comparing the two types. But I concluded from reading them all that most people liked the marathon better since you could use it longer and didn't have to buy another one (Britax is expensive). It is big and takes up a lot of room in my car but that is the one I bought and I love it.

Re: roundabout vs marathon
The roundabout is smaller than the marathon. I have the roundabout. My son was in it until he was 3.

Re: roundabout vs marathon
We went with the Roundabout, we decided this b/c even though it doesn't hold as much weight as the Marathon we figured that by the time DS met that requirement we would be putting another kid in it and getting DS something else

Re: roundabout vs marathon
We have the Marathon for both kids. I just like that it's roomier and they can use it for longer. You never know when they'll have a growth spurt!

Pretty much the same reasoning here.

Re: roundabout vs marathon
We have both. We havet he marathon in the Jeep Grande Cherokee and the roundabout in our BMW 325. We like them both, the roundabout is smaller so if you are concerned about space then I would go with that one.
I have found them on line cheaper, with no shipping or sales tax. We actually got ours at BRU, it was a display model, so if your timing is right when you go in there and they took down the model you can get them cheaper in there too.

Same reason here. Plus my DD is on the petite size too so I don't see her getting to big for the roundabout before her 3rd or 4th birthday which is when I plan on putting her in a booster seat anyway if #2 hasn't come along and kicked her out by then.

Re: roundabout vs marathon
The Marathon I believe holds up to a larger weight. I have the Marathons
