Rough Night

So just when i thought things were getting better we had the worst night yet. My boys stayed up after their 8 o'clock feeding and I thought great...this will make them tired after their 11 o'clock feeding. Boy was I wrong. As soon as we were finished one starts up and the other starts up. They then started hysterically crying till 2AM! My DH had to come down at 1:30 because i thought i was going to lose it. Finally putting on the light helped one go to bed and the other one had to be rocked for like a 1/2 hour. They went to sleep at 4AM but were up again for their 5 feeding. THen went back to bed for an hour then got up at 7 to be fed again.

I got a total of about an hour of sleep. I feel like it's getting worse rather then better. I just hope things are better tonight.

Awe man that sucks!!!

Are they fussing or just not tired?

Do you try and bring them outside during the day? If they get sun, it helps regulate their internal clock.

Try and get some rest today when they sleep, I know easier said then done.

Re: Rough Night

Sorry to hear you had a rough night. One thing i started doing as time went on start putting them to bed earlier and earlier until you reach 6:30-7pm..sometimes giving them a bath at night helps relax the babies. Put them in their pj's and start rocking them to sleep. Then if they wake up 3 hours later give them a bottle in the glider if (you have one) make it very calm dim lights. After the bottle right back to bed. See how that works. Maybe warm the bottle a little sometimes if a baby has gas or reflux a warm bottle helps soothe the baby. Follow the bottle with some gas drops. Hope you have a better night

Re: Rough Night

Last night was not fussiness...just flat out crying. I get them out during the day too. I am going to try the gas drops. They fart a lot, so maybe that is what was making them miserable last night.

Well last night was MUCH Better. I got a total of 6 hours of sleep. They went back to bed pretty quickly after we fed them. I used the gas drops around 8ish so maybe that did the trick.

It's like luck of the draw each night. You don't know if it will be a great night or a horrible night.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for tonight again.
