Roku with Hulu Plus

I just moved into a new apartment and I'm thinking about skipping the traditional cable package to save $$.

I only really watch Bravo and DH watches the sports channels. Do you get these types of shows with Hulu Plus?

Also, does the Roku provide wifi? Can it be used for several TVs?

Hulu Plus definitely has Bravo shows. I just double checked it. We're a little new to the game so I'm not sure how good the sports programming is but they have tons of sports channels- some free, some an extra charge. But even if you ordered the sports channels that come at an extra charge, you are STILL coming out ahead of the game as far as costs for cable goes.

I think you will need a Roku box in each room though. The cheapest box is $50 and more than sufficient.

We were just waiting for Game of Thrones to finish (since you can only access HBO Go if you subscribe through your cable company) and now we're cancelling cable. It's really not worth it. I think out of all the things I'll miss, Pat Kiernan and NY1 is the thing I'll miss most. But they do have several free news and weather channels to fill the void. No Pat Kiernan though.

ETA: You won't need a Roku box in a room where you have a video game system like PS3 or Xbox 360 though. You can stream netflix on hulu on those as well.

ETAA: Don't forget it's only a one time charge for the Roku boxes rather than a monthly fee.
