Rising from the ashes
Before I did this IVF, I said this is the only one I cannot do this again. Here I am asking when I can start again. I am feeling better now. We did an IUI yesterday and I am off in a few minutes for another one. I needed a few days to pity myself and wallow in my sadness of this cancelled cycle. Such is the nature of IF that I have now pulled it together and am looking forward again. I am meeting with Dr. K next week to discuss this cycle and a new protocol. If I get my period in 2 weeks I will be prepared and able to start BCPs lupron or estrogen whatever. I will be able to have another ivf cycle. Hopefully this time I will have tons of follies and wind up with a BFP. Heck may be these IUIs will even work but I have been through 3 of those already so I am not holding my breath. Just trying to look ahead.

Re: Rising from the ashes
I'm so glad that you've found the strength to go through with this (again). We'll most likely be cycling together! I had to do BCPs, then lupron injections for my last IUI protocol. Neither one supressed anything (to me)- I actually ended up with even more mid range and mature follicles (A LOT MORE) than I had the previous cycle. - but maybe that's what my dr was hoping for (minus all the mid-range ones). Here's hoping it works for you though!!! ETA: Just realized that you're not out yet! Here's hoping that you don't need IVF!!!

Re: Rising from the ashes
It's amazing how far we will go to get pg. Each step of the way I swore I wouldn't go further with treatments and sure enough I keep going and pushing past my own limits. It seems crazy sometimes. Best of luck for your IUI and hopefully you won't be doing another IVF.

Good luck to you! Hopefully you won't need to start another IVF cycle but I'm glad you have decided to try again if the IUI doesn't work.

Re: Rising from the ashes
Thanks for all of the support girls. I really do not know where I would be with out you all. You all inspire me so much. I have been feeling especially down b/c my mother and sister (who knew on Sat how poorly things were going) have not even called to check on me. I guess people who have not had this struggle really have no idea how emotional and draining all of this is. I will say IF has shown me how strong I am and I have been surprised by that.

Re: Rising from the ashes
for a great IUI cycle or an IVF cycle next time. Your family may not understand or know what to say...it's hard to unless you've walked in IF shoes.
