Right after the baby comes

Most people i know say when u bring you newborn home, its very hard, and a bit tramuatizing. You are still sore from pregnancy, trying to breastfeed and trying to adjust to no sleep and a brand new lifestyle.

Did anyone have an easy adjustment? I'm scared.

It certainly wasn't easy , but you adjust and deal...KWIM. Chat Icon I think going on no sleep just keeps you in the surreal moments and you just keep chugging away without a thought. You'll be fine and it goes by quick.

I'm a lucky one because with dd, my recovery was practically non-existant. I felt great right after delivery.

The hardest part for me was how I was feeling sometimes. Your hormones play with your emotions and at times it feels kind of "out of control." I used to get this anxious feeling in the evening which was creepy. It lasted a few days and then went away.

All in all, the transition was not very hard.

I didn't find the transition to be that hard. I was feeling pretty good, and I was lucky to have Al home with me for a few weeks.

You'll be tired, but the baby sleeps a lot during the day so you can take advantage of naptime.

I also had a summer baby (and an easy baby) so I was out and about right away so I never had cabin fever.

I'm hoping to get so lucky again...

Re: Right after the baby comes

With the baby, it came pretty easy. I was tired, but so addicted to holding him. I did not cry or anything, BFing was painful in the beginning-but that fades.

My DH was a holy handful. He did not transistion well at all.

I had a lot of company, but I did not care if they were fed or not...I just tended to me and the baby.
