Ricaim's Journal- Update...Final update
So I debated doing a journal again, but the support from you gals is invaluable... so here I go.
IVF with ICSI #1 Oct. '09 BFN
FET Nov. ''09 BFN
1/5/10
IVF #2 is on its way now the the situation with me taking the wrong medicine has been resolved. Taking Gonal and repronex for the first time. Taking dexamethasone, too. Tummy hurts already. Go back on the 7th for b/s. Looking for retrieval to be around the 11th or so. That seems way sooner than I expected.
1/7/10
So left ovary has one follie measuring at 11. Right ovary has six follies measuring at about 6. We shall see how they progress.
1/10/09
Getting there. Left ovary isn't too busy- that follie is at a 15. Right ovary is busier... I think she said they are measuring around 9-12 or so. Forgot how many were there. Not a lot though. Guess I am not a follie making machine Lining is good to go. Go back in on Tuesday.
1/12/10 Went for b/s. I actually have some large follies (20) and others are progressing nicely too. My bloodwork has shown better levels that last time. Funny thing is I can barely remember the specific details she told me (as you can see).I think that is a good thing for me- not as hyperfixated on all things IVF this time. Er should be around Friday. I still feel good too! yay!
Update
Just got my ER date.... Thursday! 3- day transfer on Sunday- my birthday! And I have the pleasure of taking my HCG at 12:15 AM tonight!!! Oy!
1/14/10 They got 9 follies. Not the most, but I am grateful none the less. I feel ok.... kind of slept the day away. Get the fert report tomorrow. Can I just say Jackie at Melville is one of the sweetest nurses ever?
1/15/10 Only 3 fertlized We are only transferring two, so I hope two make it to Sunday. And of course, who know what the quality will be. Trying to stay positive.
1/16/10 So I heard this morning that my transfer is at 10:00 tomorrow. My friend just texted me good luck and the time was.... 1:17! Tomorrow is 1/17 and it is my b-day. Here's to the stars aligning for us! DH and I are going to go to dinner on 1/30 (two days before my beta) I will test that day and if it is a BFP we will celebrate. If it is a BFN we will celebrate being together and I will have one NICE glass o'wine  No five days of HPT testing for me this time DH made me promise.
1/17/10 They transferred two embies, the other one did not make it to freeze. They were only five cells, average quality. So I cried a bit over that before they did the transfer. Sigh. I so hoped this cycle would produce better embies. Now all I can do is  I know 5 cells are not the best, but there is nothing I can do about it. Off I go to try to enjoy my day and give my embies positive energy to keep growing and implant away!
2/1/10 Doctor called and left the message. BFN. It just doesn't get easier. Sigh...we are taking a break. But, I will check in with you gals to see if we have any fabulous graduates! Thank you for your support and kindess.

I know. I think the new protocol was put in place so that I would have more mature follies to work with. I just didn't think it would be so quick. Last time I had 14, but only 7 fertilized (we lost one, use two for IVF, but the snowbabies were not the best quality though.)
