Rheumotologist recommendations PLEASE!

My moms Orthopedic surgeon wants her to see a Rheumatologist ASAP...Well, the one he referred, she cannot get into until October 19th. My mom is in so much pain---her Ortho Surgeon says its related to rhematoid arthritis or osteo arthritis. Does anyone know of a decent Rheumotologist in the Suffolk County area? Anyone know of one who she can get an appointment with within a week? She has Blue Cross, so they have to accept that...

Please refer me--I HATE seeing her in this pain--she has so much fluid build up in her knees/legs that she can hardly walk. It just sucks!

I am in the same boat as your Mom, it totally S U C K S and I could not get an appt until 10/18. This Dr was highly reccomended by my ortho but they do not take my insurance. I hope she feels better.

The one my mom got an appointment with has weird housrs of like 9 to 2 and closed 2 days a week, etc...strange


Sorrry you are in pain--it just SUCKS!

She did get some prescriptions, so is comfortable for right now..but she is such a trooper!
