What time is safe to book? Is 12 to early

How far is the port from the airport? If its not too far you should be fine. We booked a 11:45 am flight in Miami. We self checked out from the cruise at port of miami on a Sunday and took a shuttle to Miami international. We were at the airport by 9:15 am. We had no delays at immigration or with the traffic. Even if there was some delay, we would have been ok.

What port? I usually try for a 1 or so. You should be ok with a 12, but it depends on the ship and the port.

We researched and it said the earliest should be 11:30 so we booked for 12. Otherwise we had to wait until 3 and we live in CT so it's a ride from JFK and I think dd starts school the next day so we wanted to be back earlier

That should be fine. You can get off the cruise by 7 or 8am. Plenty of time as the airport is only 10 minutes away from the port.

You might be a bit tight but you can do it. The latest I have gotten off was 930. It is a pretty big ship but you should be good. I usually try for 1 pm, but you should make a 12 pm barring any unforeseen issues.

You should be fine unless something out of the ordinary happens like fog delaying docking or Customs taking control of the ship for a random inspection.

We did an 11:30 out of FLL after a Royal cruise.
Airport is not that far away - you can actually see Oasis and Allure at dock from the airport.

The one and only cruise I was on it took out 4 hours to get off the boat. Some of my cousins who had early check out barely made their fights on time. We where glad that our flight was so late.

exactly. Be sure you're first off the cruise, by 8am.
It's better to hang out in traffic and at the airport than to sweat it out.

I booked a 1:00 flight for my recent cruise. The port was about 1 hour away from the airport.

We left the boat at 9am and were at the airport by 10. I wish I had an earlier flight. The one prior was overbooked so I did stand by and did not get on. 3 hours at an airport is way too much time.

In the future, I will book an earlier one if we plan to depart the same day. Our breakfast seating was at 6:30am. We did carry on and carried our own luggage. If you plan to check in luggage, you may want to build in a little more time.
