restaurants/ delis/ grocery stores in and around Merrick
We moved in 2 months ago and still haven't found "regulars". We are north of Sunrise but not in North Merrick.
People rave about Thai Station and we hated it the past two times. We liked Gyro Palace on Sunrise. We also had a good meal, but terrible service at Elisa's in North Bellmore. I'll take any suggestions

Roma Pizza on Merrick Ave is good. They make good dinners, I like their specialty pizzas and their reg pizza is ok but we found out if you ask for sesame seed crust they make it fresh to order a d is so much better.
La Piazza is pretty good, its very busy and sometimes the people can be nasty when calling in. Never had a bad experience dinning in.
Smith Street deli on Smith street near the Getty gas station on Babylon is awesome. They make everything.
Grocery Stores are mixed. Some people like the Stop and Shop in Bellmore. There's the S&S in Freeport, Shop Rite in Uniondale.

Bagelman, IMO, on Merrick Ave has the best bagels.

i like la piazza..
as far as grocery stores, i would suggest shoprite in uniondale-their prices are fantastic
other than that you have a king kullen and shop rite in close proximity

Souper Fry on Merrick Ave..its in the same shopping center as Dunkin Donuts. Best burgers and wings. Sing mee is the chinese place in there, they are GOOD. We go to Galleria Pizza, on Merrick Ave south of the southern state.

I grew up in Merrick and my parents still live there, imo there aren't really any good restaurants there. Thai Station is terrible Thai food! Really bad, La Piazza is okay pizza, but tbh, I don't love pizza.
I love BagelBoss bagels (I have a freezer full of them at all times here in England!) they are my best and my favorite!
As far as supermarkets go, my Mom swears by Pats Farms in North Merrick, just past the Southern State on Merrick Ave. Huge selection of fruits, veggies, fish...worth the trip! Good luck!

Xaga Sushi is one of my favorites on Merrick Rd.
Left Coast Kitchen & Cocktails, also on Merrick Rd.
Trader Joe's is over there also.

we go into merrick to go to trader joes and left coast kitchen. otherwise I don't know a lot about the area.

My Hero on Jerusalem Avenue between Merrick Avenue and Bellmore Avenue. Awesome heros.
I loved Milo's pizza in the Outback/S&S shopping center. Their ziti slice is YUM! At least it was years ago when I last had it lol.

Love left coast. Like xaga and sushi ko...bagel boss and bagel plaza for bagels...love the shop rite in Uniondale but usually just stick to wladbaums and trader joes...la piazza is good but insanely crowded and I think a bit overrated to be honest...

town bagal in bellmore on merrick rd is great.
Trader Joes.
Prastrami King on merrick rd is great for those types of sandwhiches.
La Piazza is good pizza
a good italian place close by is BON APPETIT in bellmore on Jeruslem Ave.
again nearby Sage Bistro in bellmore on merrick rd is great too.

Love RS Jones. It too is in Merrick north of Sunrise but not North Merrick. It's Cash/AMEX only, though.
