Rented car seat Q.

Hi,

We will be travelling later this week and instead of dragging our car seat on the plane we have opted to hire a car seat with our hire car...problem is I am wondering if I am going to be skeeved out each time DD lays her head against the side of the seatChat Icon

I could probably put a light blanket under her head when she sleeps.......

Any solutions?

TIA

Re: Rented car seat Q.

The first and last time we rented a car seat, I laid two of those large disposable changing pads on the seat and cut a slot for the straps.

Ooh...that might help a lot..I was thinking since I posted that I would take a small sheet and cut the slots but this is a much better idea. ThanksChat Icon

How old is DC? When my neice was 14 months old my SIL rented the car seat to go along with her rental car and it was WAY too big for her. She had to drive to Wal Mart and buy a new oneChat Icon Luckily, she was only going to my MIL's, so she just left it there, but it was a giant PITA.

We are taking our carseat on the plane . I'm afraid the ones you rent will either be dirty or outdated.

Re: Rented car seat Q.

One of my biggest concerns about rented carseats, is how can you be 100% the seat was never in an accident? Has there been a recall on that seat? Was it damaged in any other way?

Way too risky for my blood.....
