Removing Wallpaper?

How hard is it? DH was going to do it, he's never done it before.

My parents are saying you have to be careful not to bust the wall and we should hire someone - but I'm trying not to have to do that.

Re: Removing Wallpaper?

I used that blue DIF stuff from Home Depot/Lowes. You saturate it with that, wait about 10 min or so and then peel off. Whatever doesn't come off, spray a little on and then scrape off with plastic putty knife.

I removed all the wall paper in our old house using fabric softener and warm water. Its works great and smells good to.

Re: Removing Wallpaper?

mix warm water and vinegar in a spray bottle...worked better than DIF for us. Try it out...if it's too difficult to get off then hire someone. Every wallpaper situation is different. So what might work for one person may not work for you. Try all of the recommendations until you find one that works for you! Good Luck Chat Icon
