I'm due in August...when did everyone register at the hospital?

I'm due next week and haven't yet.
I asked my Dr abuot this on Friday and he said I can just register when we get there and it doens't take long.
On the other hand, you must notify your insurance company ahead of time that you are going to be delivering at such and such hopsital- some require a pre- authorizaion number.
In my case my Dr office did that part for me

Thanks for posting this question. I'm also due in August. I haven't registered at the hospital yet but I plan on calling sometime this week to arrange the tour.

My OB's office sent me the paperwork after my first visit so I filled it out and sent it back probably around 16 weeks or so...

My doctors office handed out pre-registry paperwork when I went to my first appointment. Now ask me if I have handed it in yet  I have an appointment this thursday and plan to hand all that paperwork in to them so that when it is time to go to the hospital I can limit the amount of time at check in.

Can I please tell you how clueless I am? When I read this i thought it meant registering like you would at BRU or something and I am sitting here thinking "what could people possibly buy you in the hospital?!?"
With that being said I obviously have no idea what I am doing or when I need to register at the hospital.

My OB pre registered for me with my insurance. The hospital sent me the maternity admission forms and I never sent them in. Now I am 7 days from my dd and Im not sure if I should mail them or wait and give it to them.

I sent in pre-registration forms and received a letter stating I was pre-registered. Are they going to make me fill out more paperwork once I get there or am I done now.

Im due Aug 1st and my dr told me to send in my pre registration forms no later than 35 weeks I sent them out at 33 weeks

That is too funny!!! lol!! yeah I started filling out the paperwork last night... i have questions though so I need to call the hospital and insurance before sending anything in. Hoping to get it all sent out by the end of the month. I need to register at all 3 hospitals that my doctor is affiliated at... kind of a pain!

i got the paperwork from ob at 28 weeks, sent it in around 31 weeks, went to the hospital for false contractions at 32 weeks and the paperwork wasn't processed yet. it took less than 10 minutes. so basically i wouldn't worry about it because it doesn't take long for them to process you anyway!

I'm due August 11th. I received a registration packet at my last appt (28 weeks) and I just filled it out and mailed it a couple of days ago (31 weeks).

I was given the paperwork by my OB's office very early on...sometime in the 2nd trimester.
I filled it out and handed it right back in. They took care of it from there.
I highly recommend you preregister if you can...last thing you want to think about is filling out paperwork when you are in pain/labor...even having DH do it for you when you're in labor...just 1 less thing to think about when you get to the hospital.
