Pre-Registering Hospital
At my first dr.'s visit I was given a packet which included forms for registering at the hospital. It said the forms should be completed and returned at my next dr.'s visit. Of course I did not do this!! It seemed so early to be doing this. When did you pre-register for the hospital?

My Dr. office gave us the packet I think I was around 11 or 12 weeks. They told us not to send it in to the hospital until I was 28 weeks.

I remember doing with last pregnancy but blurry at exactly when i did it.. i think it was a month or so before due date.
Im 23 weeks now and still havent done.. same doc as last pregnancy so im guessing ill do around same time again.

If you go to lamaze in the hospital you deliver in, they have you come to their office and go over the paper work too. Thats what mine did with my dd.

They had me fill mine out at my last appointment, which was 32 weeks.

I registered at my hospital when I was about 32 weeks.
Check with your hospital you may be able to register over the phone. I was able to do so with my hospital.

I haven't gotten this paperwork yet. But I did have to call my insurance company when I was first pregnant and they pre-registered me then with the hospital.
I will ask my dr if I need to do more

they ran out of forms when i was there yesterday, ill get another one when i go at my 24 wk appt and send it in sometime after that.

Actually I just wanted to add, I didn't even send mine in yet b/c it wants me to list the pediatrician I am choosing and I have my first ped interview this week. So I am going to send it in as soon as a pick the ped.

I sent mine in last week at 24 weeks. I left the pediatrician part blank as we have not chosen one yet. I called the hospital admitting and explained that was my hold up, and they said to send it in anway. They also said I would the ped that was on call anyway when I delivered.
I will still have my pediatrician chosen anyway before birth and hopefully can update it with them prior to giving birth.
