Registered for a travel system....

and a Maclaren light weight stroller but i am hearing mixed things about the travel system...

My thing is that it comes with the car seat and the stroller seems nice as well. and since I am having a baby in October i figured when I am out i wont mind taking the whole stroller, i felt like the snap & go is more for like a quick errands, but I figured since its a almost winter baby there wont be many quick errands around the block. Is my thinking off? should I also get a snap & go? should i not get the travel system at all?

any suggestions??

Re: Registered for a travel system....

I don't have much experience with this but we too are in the process of choosing a stroller. We're due in October too.

I am not planning on getting a travel system (car seat on top of stroller) just because they look so bulky and heavy.

We are hoping to get a bugaboo type stroller where we can remove the stroller seat and add a car seat adapter so we can use the car seat on the stroller frame for a little while since it might initially make transport easier. This way, we don't need to buy an extra frame.

Re: Registered for a travel system....

We ended up after several back & forth decisions registering for the Snap N Go for the infant carrier/seat then over to the City Mini. So light & easy to fold up with one hand.

We tried closing & lifting the stroller that went with the travel system we were going for & holy huge & heavy.

I recommend doing lots of research - then go in the store & try them all out.

My DD was born last September and I had the Chicco Cortina Travel System and I LOVED it!!! I used it every single time we took her out. Around 8 months we bought the Graco Mosaic lightweight which we use all the the time now instead and I use my Chicco for walks around the neighborhood. Love them both! Chat Icon
