? regarding newborn hearing screening

I just got a bill for $350.00 for the hearing test they did at Winthrop after the baby was born. Supposedly my insurance isn't covering the cost. Did anyone else receive a bill for this service?

I'm furious and of course customer service is closed now

Really??? I haven't recieved a bill, I just assumed my insurance was covering it. Did you call your insurance company??

I delivered at Winthrop 2 years ago and will again this May. I never even saw one piece of paperwork from them. Definitely follow up with both the hospital and insurance company. So sorry you have to deal with that.

Call your insurance company, I have gotten bills for tests done in the past that were supposed to be covered by insurance and when I call you get the old..."ooops sorry about that".


ETA: make sure you tell them it was a standard newborn test that was ordered by your PED (or OB?) upon birth in the hopsital.
Sometimes these people just don't bother to READ.

I didn't get any bills from the hospital either. I would call the ins co.

Me too, I never got a bill--follow up with it, it is probably a mistake.
