Recycling?

Beside the paper/plastic through the town. Do you do anything else?

I actually bought the reusable bags from Waldbaums to use every week for groceries. DH makes fun of me, walking into the supermarket with my bags, but I feel better about not using all the plastic bags everyweek.

We love our reusable bags. They hold so much and are much easier to carry than regular bags. It helps a lot, since we usually walk to the grocery store. Some of the stores by us even give you a $.05 refund for every bag you bring.

Re: Recycling?

We use plastic shopping bags as garbage can liners in the bathrooms. We save the chinese food plastic containers for daily use (it's almost like cheap Tupperware). Cardboard is also recycled at the curb. Sometimes DS recycles cardboard boxes and makes house, cars, castles, caves, etc out of them... Chat Icon

Re: Recycling?

We reuse plastic bags for everything and the containers for formula we reuse.

Also paper plates if they are not badly stained. I wash them .

We do the same.

When we gutted our house we recycled as many materials as possible.

ETA: I also try to buy bigger containers. I have a huge box of dishwasher detergent that I think I've had for over two years now. Same with laundry detergent bottles and shampoo bottles. I buy shampoo by the gallon.
