I see Sarah Schwartz in West Islip. She is very nice, but my experience with her ends at my annuals.

Comprehensive OBGYN-

I see Dr. Squicciarini but know Drs. Voulo, Sampino and Ketcham and they are all great doctors and people.. (actually Dr. Ketcham is my brother in law so I have never seen him but friends of mine go to him.)

My sister is also an OBGYN- Dr. Turano and she has offices in Smithtown and hauppaugue

I love Suffolk OB/GYN........I've been a patient there for over 10 years. They have offices in Smithtown, Port Jeff, Patchogue, and Wading River. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Dr. Petraco. He is so awesome. Very nice, very caring, and he takes his time. If you want only a female doctor than Dr. Mindy Shaffran is wonderful. She too is so caring and sweet and she really takes her time and talks to you. I love them both!! Chat Icon

Re: Recommendations for OB/GYN in Suffolk?

Dr. Squicciarini is my doctor (she's so nice and patient), but I was told she is no longer taking any pregnant patients Chat Icon I'm thinking about the future and I don't know if I'm comfortable with a male doctor. So I'm thinking of switching to a different practice.

I too see Dr. Egner & she's wonderful. Since leaving the other practice (Dr. Polidoro) she's been calmer & more laid back (I know there was a lot of tension there b4 Dr. P left). Dr. Berlin is in that office too & he's great as well.

that might just mean New as in your not a patient there yet. at least that's what it usually means. She did just have a baby so she might just be cutting back her hours to spend time with her Chat Icon so delivering babies might be hard right now. If you love her, I would find out in detail before you change. Its so hard to find a doctor that you love

She's been my doctor for about 2 years and they said that she's no longer seeing pregnant patients and that I would have to switch once I'm pregnant. I was thinking it was because she just had a baby and probably doesn't want to be on call, etc.
