Recommend your bottle
I bf dd and up until now if she took an occasional bottle I just have her the madela one I pumped into. But I'm going back to work so I wanted to get her some other bottles.
We got a few at my shower so I've tried those and she doesn't seem to like them.
We tried born free, advent, and similac.
She took the similac the best but is it possible that within 5 minutes I was feeling/hearing the gas/air bubbles in her tummy or did she most likely already have gas and I just didn't know bc she was sleeping?
Please let me know what bottles are good for babies with limited air. I can always buy more madela pump bottles if necessary.

We are using platex ventaire with ds and bfing too. We use the standard ones not wide neck. He is able to get his mouth around the whole nipple which he can't do with a wide neck botte.
With my twins we used dr browns

I used dr browns with dd. My friend uses Tomee Tipee and her dd seems to do best with those and she bfs. I got a small pack of those and advent and will see which one dc will take while also bfing.

I'd try Dr. Browns, both of my kids took well to them even though i eventually switched to advent because of less parts to wash.

Dr Brown's has a lot of parts (6) for each bottle, but they are supposedly best for gas. You kind of get used to washing all the parts, and we got something so we can wash all the pieces in the dishwasher.

Recommend your bottle
With DS # 1 I introduced a bottle when he was 3 weeks old, Playtex Drop Ins. He took well to them and had no problems going back and forth between bottle and breast. DS # 2 is just about 1 month old and I haven't introduced a bottle yet...although I need to soon because we have some things coming up this summer that require us to leave him with our parents. I am hoping to use the drop ins with him as well.

Playtex nursers are also the best for gas. Dr browns has too manyvparts and are a pain to constantly clean. Playtex nursers are great because y. Use bags in them which are disposable. And the nipple is a wide neck which mimcs your breast. They are much better transition bottles than drbrowns. I found my dd got worse gas from dr browns because her mouth was leaving space on thr nipple. Their mouths arent supposed to cover the entire nipple down to the ring. My peds highly recommended llaytex and its the only bottle my dd did great with when i transitioned her.

We have used the Dr. Browns wide neck bottles from day 1. I don't mind cleaning them, but we have only used these so I have nothing to compare it to. DS is 10 weeks old and has yet to have any gas issues.

The ONLY bottle my BF DC would take was the MAM bottle. It was recommended on a BF board with much success.

I bf'ed DS but he started daycare at 6 months old and had an occasional bottle before then. We started with the Medela bottles that I pumped into but he got very gassy with them. I think the flow was too fast. We switched to Tommee Tippee and never had any problems.

I use Dr. Brown's. My DS has had gas problems and does well with this. I just went back to work about 1 month ago and he doesn't seem to be having issues. If you choose to try this type & have a dishwasher, I recommend the basket for the dishwasher. I have it and I just stick all the pieces in it so i don't have to clean it each individually.
