Recommend a radiologist for HSG
Lucky me, I have to have another HSG. I could go where I went before (St. Catherine's in Smithtown), but they had reported my right tube blocked when it wasn't (though if my hip was elevated it wasn't there fault). So, I was thinking of going somewhere else.
Can anyone recommend where they went? And the further eastern Suffolk the better, though I am used to traveling for this stuff.

I went to North Shore. I can get you the number of the practice that did mine. Although I told you about the radiologist that I wouln't use.

My first one I went ot one of those radiology places...one in Bay Shore..I WOULD NOT rec them ever!!!
Dr Davis did my last 2 HSG's and what a huge difference...
I know this doesn't help...lol

Mine was done at LIJ, but it was all arranged through li-ivf. Wasn't a bad experience.

I went to Nassau Radiologic Group in Garden City. It was super fast and the doctor and nurse who did it were very professional.

I went there also, liked the doc and nurse, but mine hurt like hell.

This is my own fault. I got an BFP after my first one only to mc at 5w4d. So, I kept saying, wont another doctor send me for one. Moral of the story....be careful what you wish for.
I could go back to the same place, I don't remember it hurting at all. Just being really uncomfortable for 5 minutes. But, I want my results to be right. But, like I said, if my hips were not straight that is both our faults for not realizing it. Or maybe they unblocked my tube from the procedure.

I could still do this, just trying to save some money. But, I just calculated that it is only saving me $180 (have 70% out of network coverage). So, maybe I will do it with Cornell after all. Though its easier to do it out here too, but I'm sure his will be absolutely accurate.
I guess I'm now confusing myself which will add to this whole wonderful experience.

Had mine at Good Samaritan. The femaie doctor who did it there was AWESOME, she made it as pleasant as it could be, if that makes sense.

I had mine at NSUH as well. Remember, its only 5 minutes of discomfort. You will be fine!

OK I'm totally screwed here.
I am sure AF is on its way (my temps went way low today). So, I called Dr. D's office to schedule and he can only do it next Friday. Which is fine, but I am supposed to watch my little niece (she's 2) b/c my parents watch her for my SIL on Fridays. Next Friday Mom is going for a big medical test and my Dad is taking her. I either go to the place I went before or I have to do it this Friday. Having trouble again finding a place that will do this test (if I'm not with the local gyn/oby).
What should I do?

Stony Brook wont take me b/c they only go through their gyn/oby.
Good Samaritan phone number is not picking up. This is exactly why 6 months went by the last time. I got so frustrated, I just took it as a bad sign and waited. Uggggg!!! I can tell AF is coming, my mood is BAD!

OMG - now I am talking to myself. I called good sam and they can do it next week on Wednesday. But, not Thursday. I knew this was all going to be stressful, but I don't think I had a clue how it was going to be. So, if AF does not come today, not sure what I will do. I'm going to end up back where I was. UGGGGGGGG!!!! can I SCREAM!!!!! Either that or my SIL is going to have to take her own child for the morning or afternoon or whatever. Her store is closed on Fridays.

Can you go through your ob or is the point to have Dr. D do the hsg himself? If it has to be Friday then it has to be. Whats up with SIL if she is not working why isn't she caring for her DD? Its one thing if you or your mom want the day with her but if you both have medical appts then she needs to step up and take her daughter for the day. I am sorry this is causing you so much stress.

I went to Zilkha Radiology. They are across the street from Good Sam.
The radiologist was very nice and very gentle, I was very happy with them. It was very easy to get an appointment.

I am the fill in babysitter....LOL. My SIL uses Friday's to catch up with her business. But, I think if I have to do it Friday then her Mother is either going to have to step in or SIL will have to hold off catching up. I also was looking forward to alone time with my little niece. I never get her alone, especially if my Dad is around that is all she wants. But, I can do that another day too. I wonder if its cheaper just to clone her than IVF...LOL.

Thank you I will give them a call ASAP.
So far AF has not come today which means next Wednesday is out.
Just wanted to add, that you rock!!!!! I can go there. I will go there no matter what day. Easier than going to NYC.
