Re: Really bad heartburn/indigestion early on
mine didnt come on that early, it came on after the MS sickness ended, around 14 weeks, and at 23 weeks its still real bad...
i was eating tums every day, didn't know that Pepcid was an OK med to take!!!
just found that out over the weekend, and started it this past Monday...one pill works ALL DAY for me!!!
it is a Godsend! I take it right before dinner, and it works about 22-23 hours long...I start feeling it again around 4/5pm, and by then i'M ready for that day's dose!

Re: Really bad heartburn/indigestion early on
With DS #1 I had heartburn before I even got my BFP. That's why I took a pregnancy test actually because I have never had heartburn in my life and knew it was a pregnancy symptom. It lasted the whole first trimester. I did the whole Tums things but I found that milk worked best for me.

I am the Heartburn Queen when it comes to pregnancy... OTC you can take Zantac-- but with both pregnancies, I have a Nexium prescription. Lifesaver!

Re: Really bad heartburn/indigestion early on
I have had heartburn the entire time so far (26Wks) and tums only worked in the beginning. Now I am onto Mylanta and that works but only for a short time.
As fara s food that give it to me.....its everything. I can eat, not eat, drink water and I will still have it.

same here!!
and as far as OTC, Zantac and Pepcid are both, I thik Prevacid is also...
just a warning in case you are prone to pneumonia, Zantac increases your risk for pneumonia!!
I've had it twice already, last time I had it was June...so I absolutely cannot take any chances, so that's why I went with Pepcid, it uses a different active ingredient!! just figured to give the heads up just in case!!
