its so weird how i can relate to his scenario 100%. my dad passed and my mom had to call my in college when i hadnt seen my dad in months to tell me over the phone and the only pple around where my 6 suite mates who i lived with in the dorms!! girls i barely knew..
as hard as it is to grieve in public in a way i think it was good for him to have such support all around him cause to go off and be alone can b very mind numbing and in sucha state of shock and grief who knows what one is capable of.. i think every1 handled it sooo well for him and when he goes home it looks like he has a huge team around him.. i think the long term problem will be the guilt of no-closure with his mom..jmo.. but that is usually the case when someone dies unexpectedyl...
i think the RW played it real well as an epi, but when they went back to his convo with his mom grrrr... cant imagine watching that 6 months after a parents death, i dunno--its like u can never put the situation 100% out of ur head when it will live in re-runs 4ever

OMG...my heart was breaking for him! It was hard for me to watch as well due to all the regrets I have with my stepfather who passed away. 
Do you think he leaves the show??

from what i hear..he does come back..but now it doesnt seem that way so im really not sure.. i hope he does it will be sad after all that for him to not cont. the show

His mom sounded soo happy to talk to Danny...that part made me very sad
Oh man! That was definitely one of the saddest RW episodes in it's 10+ year history! To make matters worse, Danny wasn't so nice when they spoke on the phone. She kept expressing how happy she was to hear from him, and even said "I love you", and he just wanted to get off the phone. It's really unfortunate for the entire family because I'm sure they had all built a cold wall against her... and then to be hit with such regret & anguish. I'm sure he'll get through it, though.
And I heard that he does return to the show, but not as the same person.
